Plantations Nicholas is the company for you. We’re a young, thriving and stimulating company that was founded in Beauce in 2013, and we hire over 200 seasonal foreign workers to support them in their busy season.

Principal duties

• Assume the role of leader-coach and agent of change within your team;
• Plan and supervise operational activities in our fields;
• Act as liaison between the management team, workers and other departments;
• Manage the time of a work team; Support crop establishment;
• Maintain the cultivation of plantations in the field;
• Operate agricultural and forestry machinery when required;
• Develop the personnel under your supervision;
• Collaborate in manpower planning;
• Ensure the application of various policies, procedures and standards (quality, environment, etc.);
• Oversee the application of health and safety rules.

Job requirements

You stand out because :

• You have between 3 and 5 years’ experience in a similar position;
• You have experience in agriculture or forestry;
• You know how to operate heavy agricultural and/or forestry machinery;
• You have good mechanical skills (an asset);
• You have the ability to back up a 30-40 foot trailer (class 3 or class 1 an asset);
• You are recognized as a leader;
• You have good organizational skills;
• You are rigorous and self-reliant;
• You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• You have good management of priorities and follow-through;
• You are a good communicator;
• You speak French;
• You speak English or Spanish, as most of our employees are from foreign cultures.

Working conditions

$60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year depending on experience
40.00 to 50.0h/week – Full time Permanent Employment
