Old School
A throwback to Christmas as it used to be. Our “Old School” trees are lightly trimmed to maintain their wild, natural shape and open branching. Ideal for those who love a rustic look and plenty of space for larger ornaments. Fresh, authentic, and full of character.

Not every tree needs to be a perfect cone. Our Old School collection is for the purists who miss the look of a traditional, wild-grown Christmas tree. By trimming these trees only a few times during their growth, we allow their natural silhouette to shine.
Why go "Old School"?
- Space for Ornaments: Unlike "sheared" trees that are very dense, these have more open spaces between branches.
- Rustic Aesthetic: These trees have a more "organic" and layered look, reminiscent of the trees we used to bring home decades ago.
- Fresh & Untamed: You get the same Plantations Nicholas freshness and quality, but with a profile that feels more like it was hand-picked from the deep woods.
Lower Grade
- Clean, attractive, and consistent.
- High density; full profile.
- Mostly straight leader with minor variations.
- Uniform structure with great taper.
- Small, natural imperfections

To maximize the lifespan and freshness of a christmas tree, proper care is essential.
1. Fresh Cut on the Trunk
Before placing the tree in its stand, cut ½ – 1 inch off the base to reopen the resin‑sealed vascular system.
2. Hydration Is Critical
- Use a stand with 1 gallon (4 L) or more water capacity.
- Fill immediately after cutting.
- Maintain the water level above the cut at all times. Never let it run dry.
Christmas trees, especially freshly cut ones, will drink heavily in the first several days.
3. Placement in the Home
- Keep the tree away from heat vents, fireplaces, radiators, and sunny windows.
- Humidifiers can significantly improve needle retention.
4. Additives Not Required
Plain water is the most effective choice—no additives necessary.
